Business days (also referred to as working days) represent days of the week when commercial offices and financial markets are typically operational—standardly Monday through Friday.
Our algorithm iterates through each date in the selected interval:
Weekdays (Monday–Friday) are counted as standard working business days.
Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) are isolated and recorded separately.
Optionally, checking "Include End Day in count" incorporates the final date as a full active calendar period.

Does this calculator count the starting date?
By default in standard date mathematics, the starting date is considered day zero, measuring the interval between the two points. If you are tracking a rental period, hotel stay, or inclusive task window, toggle the "Include End Day in count (+1)" checkbox.
How are leap years factored into date differences?
Our engine computes exact calendar intervals using Gregorian leap year rules. Any span traversing February 29 (such as 2024 or 2028) automatically includes the 29th day in the day tally.
